Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates the tool. Fillmore County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s terms and privacy practices apply to its processing.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or submit a contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share the message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary web operations may record technical information when a page loads. That information can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the request.
- The browser name and version.
- The device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- The date and time of the request.
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site and support certain functions. Most browsers let users refuse or remove cookies. Some site features may work differently when cookies are blocked.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports a limited set of operating purposes:
- Keeping the site available and responsive.
- Sending a search request to the selected partner service.

Links and Outside Services
Fillmore County Released Inmates links to county release sources, the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota Department of Corrections, federal locators, government portals, and third-party search services. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that operator’s privacy policy governs. Minnesota government-data access is governed in part by Minnesota Statutes chapter 13, but that public-record law is separate from this site’s privacy practices.
Some advertising companies may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for interest-based advertising. We do not operate those outside tracking systems.

We do not sell personal data. Information may be handled by these parties when needed for the stated function:
- Search partners that process a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that measure site activity.

We use standard practices intended to protect information from unauthorized access or misuse. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however. We cannot promise that a system, transmission, or stored message will be immune from every breach.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, a person may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal data we hold about that person.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Erase personal information where deletion is required or permitted.
- Stop certain forms of processing where an opt-out right applies.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as practices or legal requirements change. A revision takes effect when it is posted here with a new effective date.
